Artist Biography - Marijana Vukovic
Marijana Vukovic is an international artist from Austria.
She was born on April 10, 1974, in Bruck an der Mur. She discovered painting in 2017 during a rehabilitation period following severe illness. This experience also inspired her motto: “Art is my therapy.”
Marijana is a self-taught artist and is deeply grateful for the recognition and success she has achieved so far. Her work is highly creative and versatile, spanning multiple artistic styles—from expressionism and portraiture to abstract art.
Her talent for painting and drawing was already evident in childhood. Her school art teacher once noted that her landscape works strongly resembled the observation of nature, use of color, and brushwork found in the unique style of Vincent van Gogh.
However, nearly 30 years passed during which life circumstances prevented her from pursuing art. Since the summer of 2019, Marijana Vukovic has been active internationally as an artist. She has participated in numerous exhibitions around the world and has won several international competitions, including first place in Brazil and Italy, and second place in Greece.
